3-Night Disney Bahamian Cruise question for First Timers

Jump to last reply

We're heading out in a coupla weeks on a 3 night Disney Bahamian Cruise. The first stop is in Nassau for the day; the next day we stop at the Castaway Cay. I've got to make QUICK decisions on the Excursion options. I need some help/suggestions.

There will be 6 of us in 2 rooms: my 73 year old active parents, my husband & me (40s), and our 9 & 13 year daughters.

My parents have taken several cruises and tours and have thoroughly enjoyed the excursions. My husband emphatically balks at the idea of moving to someone else's time table. Disney's got several interesting teen options. Any suggestions here? What about all the activities for the 8-9 year olds? Are these designed for the children so that parents can go off on their own? Would my daughter have more fun with us or in some of those activities?
