Been a few yrs ago but LOVED the cruise. Did shore excurisions but if we go again, we'd hire a cab & poke around on our own or spend time on beach. Went horsebk. riding... horses were old & should not be ridden with bad legs, etc, in my opinion.

We did this cruise on this ship last June and absolutely loved it.

In St. Thomas, we took a cab to the Red Hook ferry. We took the ferry to St. John and then took another cab to Trunks bay to snorkel, swim, and enjoy the beach. It was heavenly - in fact, we were tempted to abandon our ship and just become beach bums.

The cab drivers were pretty aggressive just off the pier at St. Maarten. Practice a firm "No thank you." while you keep walking.

Bahamas - my son has been there a couple of times and he loves the Goombay Punch which is a pineapple soda that comes in cans. They swear that it is WAY better than Fanta. I didn't buy anything at the Straw Market but had a wonderful time listening to the accent.
