14 day paul gauguin cruise

Has anyone on this message board taken a 14 day cruise on the Paul Gauguin that includes the Marquesas?Has anyone used Bora Bora Cruise lines?Thank you so much for your help.

I think you would get more responses if you go to the Regent board of Cruise Critic or LuxuryCruiseTalk.com. I use the agent who sponsors the latter, and there are a number of reviews of PG cruises on the site, though I don't think there is a specific review on the Marquesas itinerary. Nevertheless, you can search the both sites for that itinerary.

Yes, we did this cruise last spring...it was absolutely fantastic.!!! The best ship on the sea, we think. Everything is included, staterooms and service are so excellent, no tipping allowed, no pressure, lots of sea sports, and cultural stuff (bringing local talent on board), and all in all, it was so wonderful. We left from Tahiti and ended in Sydney...all first class.

Thank you so much for your replies.Another question that I hope you can answer:We will do a post cruise stay on Tahiti. What would you recommend for a few days pre cruise? Our interests include diving, snorkeling, archaeology+ nice accommodations. It should be fairly easy to get to.Thanks again.

Sorry, don't have my brochure handy, where do you leave from, to end in Tahiti?

Clarasong:I am not sure I understand your question. We will do a precruise stay, then 14 days on the Paul Gauguin, and a post-cruise stay. Our home base is Los Angeles. I hear that the Sofitel on Moorea is quite lovely. Any feedback about it and about Moorea? Thanks for your help.

We are looking at the Jan 7, 2009 cruise on PG to Brisbane. I am concern about how she will handle in the more open seas. We found it to be a little unstable even in mild to moderate seas around Polynesia. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on how she handles?
Thanks

As I said, we took her last year from Moorea to Sydney, and all was well. No rough seas., but of course, she is not exactly like a cruise boat, but did very well, we thought..No problemo.

My husband and I cruised on the Paul Gauguin last year to the Marquesas.
And LOVED it !
so much that we are doing it again this year .. next month
You will be indeed at sea between Rangiroa and the Marquesas...
I was concerned as well, but used that time to rest, read, listen to their great lectures ( which I recommend especially going to the Marquesas)-
Have fun..
French Polynesia is or favorite place
