Yay! Just booked Turks and Caicos for April :)

Hi everyone,

We are very excited...we just took advantage of a non-stop flight to Provo from Boston for April Vacation Week (I'm a teacher). We went to Aruba and Anguilla last year, so we are excited to try a new island that's beach is supposed to be as good as Anguilla's! I'm sure I'll be asking more questions as time goes on...I loved reading some of the recent T & C trip reports

Thanks, everyone! I will be sure to ask questions as I go along since you all know so much about it! I am thinking of staying at Royal West Indies, but nothing is decided yet...

Nope, no good deal They were $900 each on AA, but we did have an AA credit, which was $400, so that did bring it down a bit. I'm a teacher, so we have no choice but to travel on the expensive vacation weeks!

Hey Beachgirl, we stayed at RWI this summer and loved it. We rented through VRBO and got a unit that is on/faces the beach -- building one -- and the rate was very good as well. Had a kitchenette which was perfect for mixing drinks to take to the beach and making breakfast. Fridge was a nice size so you can get lots of groceries if you want. The food at Mango is good and the people were so friendly. Ate there just about every day for lunch and their drinks were deeeelicious! Oh! Also, in that unit we were able to pick up wireless internet from a nearby hotel/business. I have to say, my dh's sony laptop didn't work as well as my macbook pro did on signal strength. But, anyway it was a nice surprise.

You will LOVE the beach!!! Check out MyMoosie's trip report as well as Blamona, Virginia and HowardC. I found lots of info from them.

And as Napoleon Dynamite would say:
LUCKYYYYYY!!

Beachgirl247: I love that we have a similar screen name I am sure that we will like many of the same places due to that!

Which RWI unit did you stay in from VRBO? I found 2 on there, but only 1 is free for our dates.

You gals in the prior posts are happy for good reason, IMO. My wife and I spent 8 nights at RWI Nov. 2005 and are headed back again in Nov. 2006 for 12 days. We have never done a do-over vacation to the same place, but with RWI/Provo what's not to love??? The place is awesome. I'm jealous of the people that were smart enough to buy condo units at RWI when it was going up.

fxlr: We actually considered buying a condo at RWI before they broke ground-and I kick myself all the time for not doing it. It turned out even better than we had imagined!

I didn't even have that chance and I'm still jealous. We leave for Provo in a week and really looking forward to RWI again.
