Wyndham Sugar Bay vs Marrtiot Morningstar

I know that I am hitting you up for
info on different resorts but I want to
find the best place for my family for
my kid's first Carribean vacation.
Anyone been to these two hotels. How are the rooms?
How is the food? The snorkeling?
Pros and Cons?

Thanks.

Mark H.

We have stayed at Sugar Bay and did like it. The rooms were very nice, good sized and were better than some of the six-star hotel rooms we've stayed in before. There are two restaurants and an outdoor grill by the pool. We usually ate our lunch from the grill as we liked the burgers and chicken sandwiches. Almost all the food we ate was good, especially the desserts. I'm not sure whether you are seeking to snorkel from the beach at Sugar Bay exclusively, but if so, you won't find a lot of adventure. Sugar Bay is a good place to relax and just get away. It fulfilled our expectations.

We are not expecting to snorkel much
at Sugar Bay.
We assume that we would need to rent
a car and head to Saphire beach, Maggens Bay and also take a Catamarran
snorkeling trip to St. John.
Just wanted to know how the rooms and
food were at Sugar Bay and if it is a
place that preteens would like.

Is there room on the beach to sunbathe
if you want to just chill for the day?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,
The beach at Sugar Bay is on the smaller side, but works. The pool area is huge and if you're stressed out is still a great place to chill. If you have kids, the part of Sugar Bay that will enable YOU to have a mellow vacation is that the beach can't be reached by people not staying at Sugar Bay. Enjoy!

Very little snorkeling at Magens Bay, but it's a beautiful spot. We snorkeled at Sapphire, Coki Beach, and Secret Harbour (plus on daysails and from beaches on St. John).
