My girlfriend and i will be traveling to Montego Bay Jamaica in Aug. We wanted to know if anyone has stayed at the Wyndham Rose Hall or Holiday Inn. We are both single females who love the beach, watersports and plenty of nightlife. Heard the Wyndham wouldn't be a good choice for single adults because too many families , is that true?Any suggestions on places to stay?

Skip 'em both and head for Negril which matches your needs/vibe far more completely than any place in MoBay, esp.the two resorts you list. Go for Rockhouse or Jackie's on the Reef -- or even RIU if you've got to play it cheap. Packages abound.

We stayed at the Wyndham and didn't think much of the beach. We saw the Holiday Inn beach and didn't think much of it either. Brochure photos can be misleading.

I agree that Negril is the best choice. In the MoBay area, I'd rather spend my time on Doctor's Cave Beach than on the hotel beaches east of town, although the environment is a bit urban.

Agree with above posters. We also stayed at the Wyndham (late 20's couple) and it was overrun by children, far away from town and nothing to do at night. We really disliked this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.

I'll add my agreement, both of those hotels are family oreiented and noton the best beaches.

Sounds like Negril would be better for you....much better beach, nightlife you can walk to, plenty of watersports. Any hotel on the 7 mile beach would work, especially those mid-beach or lower. If you'd like specific suggestions, your budget and amenity needs would help.
