Wyndham or Radisson in Aruba. Please Help!

Celebrating anniversary in August in Aruba. Have seen good reviews of both hotels. The Radisson is approximately $ 400.00 more than the Wyndham for a five night stay. Is it worth the extra money.

Thanks

We were in Aruba this February--traveled to Aruba many times--and visited the Wyndham--it was a beautiful hotel so we decided to stay there this Decmeber on another vacation. Wyndham By Request allows you to pre-order various items you wish as part of the room rate (register with online service). Also we called the hotel directly and reserved a special -- full suite with breakfast included --not advertised online. You cant go wrong with either property.

Sharon, the Wyndham packages all come with full buffet breakfast daily. Hope you used a TA that specializes in Aruba as they get room rates including suites cheaper than what is on their website!

Sharon, the Wyndham packages all come with full buffet breakfast daily so calling direct did not get you anything special. Hope you used a TA that specializes in Aruba as they get room rates including suites cheaper than what is on their website! I don't specialize in Aruba but buy from an agency that wholesales to other agencies.

Thanks for the reply. I will look into the Wyndham resort.

Dear Travel Agent: We compared the rate we were given with the rack rates--it definitely was a good deal! We have a travel agent, but did not find it necessary to use her this time. The rates do not always include breakfast.

Sharon,
What items did you pre-order with Wyndham By Request and did you visit the spa.

My husband registered online--type out "Aruba Wyndham Beach Resort & Casino" (Google) and on top you will be able to click on "Wyndham by Request". We ordered feather pillows, fridge, and cheese platter. We did not see the spa--we just toured a few areas and liked what we saw. Radisson is also a great property, however we just thought we would go for the suite special at the Wyndham with the ocean view. I believe every room has some type of ocean view.

The Radisson is definately worth it!
I am a travel specialist for American
Express and have received nothing
but positive feedback on the Radisson.
There are also offering one-free night
if you pay with an American Express
Card.

Go to www.visitaruba.com and click on the message board. Very active and chock full of info.

We stayed at the Wyndham but visited the Radisson. Radisson was more spread out. Better breakfast and lunch at the Radisson than at the Wyndham but Wyndham had a great happy hour. Both are only separated by one or two other smaller hotels. Same Beach location really.

We were happy with our Wyndham choice because it was all contained. A high rise, restaurants, rooms, casino, rental car desk, game room ice cream parlor, etc. where all housed together. Radisson was more spread out with accommodations in different buildings. Wyndham had a kids club and really nice pool. During the day wait staff walked around and handed out magazines, and fruit kabobs. They would also spritz you with water if you wanted but I felt a little foolish and only did it once for the novelty of it.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

Any other people have good results with Wyndham By Request.

Steven
