Sandy,

I called Delta on that flights through the site KDR suggested. I got a bit worried as I'd never heard of the place before. They guy at Delta said it was their flight [I played Nancy Drew and figured out from departure and arrival times it was a Delta flight] and that they could not match that price. I think I am going to book with them...I'd give it a look for your T&C trip if I were you!

For some reason, I swear I read that the Driftwood opened very quickly after the storm.

I am in MI and we have plenty of snow. 16 inches right now from Saturday's storm. My son is in Boston and has 26 with 7 more expected today.

Mahogany Point looks to be closer to Chisolm's store. Between the Northpointe Condo's and Chisom's.

My clan is really looking forward to staying there. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms a pool and the beach. What's not to like!

I'll let you know all about our trip when I come back...let us know about yours too.

Happy Sunning

Karen

KDR, I'd still be very happy to hear from you on your airfare purchase from the place you suggested. I'm overthinking it, can you tell?

Gary - just an FYI, if you fly out of Detroit on NWA it is very hard to beat www.worryfreevacations.com prices. I just checked for March 2005 and there are flights going 4 days a week and they're starting around $330 each, RT.

I live 3 hours from Detroit and have come very close to aking the drive just to get those fares.

If you do a package with hotel it's even less.

Liza,

No flights available on the dates we will be gone on worry free. Thanks for thinking of it.

I got a heck of a deal on that site KDR posted though. My kids, who are coming down for a shorter period of time, did as well.

KYM...huge thanks to you for the heads up on the site.

Sandy, look into this site. It saved us $200 total, and our kids $450!

Liza: Thanks for the Tip. I checked Worry Free before I bought through NWA and they were actually more for that flight. Just never know. We are about 2.5 hours from Detroit but will be staying with relatives the night before we leave so that won't be so bad. Where do you live in Michigan?

Ike--sorry to just be responding. Like you, I was nervous using www.flycheapabroad.com for the first time because I had never heard of it. I did a little bit of internet research, and found some people who had used it and had positive things to say. Like you, I had a pretty easy time figuring out who the airline carrier was going to be, and I decided to try it. I figured I was using my credit card, which would provide some protection, and I usually buy travelers insurance, so maybe I would get some protection from that as well. Thankfully, I had absolutely no problems at all. Once I had my confirmation info, I called Air Jamaica to confirm our tickets, which they were happy to do. I am so glad you were able to save so much money!

Gary I live in Ohio, NE of Columbus.

Driving to Detroit takes time of course but those flights are also nonstop - and Columbus doesn't have any nonstops to Montego Bay.

We haven't done it yet, always managed to get something good enough on USAir, but I look at MLT/WorryFree every year to check and at certain times, especially as the flight nears, they have some awesome deals.

Another site I have had good luck with if you want one of their hotels is www.beachdestinations.com - they have beat air-only for our last two trips. You can get their air/hotel package for just a part of your stay and go wherever you want for the rest of the time.

We used them twice, no problems. They're a division of Solar Tours and sometimes if you call they do even better than the web site.

KDR...

Those tickets are here, and I called to make sure Delta would honor them. You can now see my pattern of overthinking.

Delta says a-ok...we are all set to go, and your post saved me $200 and my kids $450 - and they're both better flights with early arrival!!!!!

You get a big YAHOOOOOO! and a big thank you again.

Liza,
When you print up your tickets from flyabroadcheap, it takes you to beachdestinations.

I put this site in my favorites. We're heading to the UK in October, so who knows what I may find there.

KDR...thanks again, the trip will be even 'betta' because we saved so much money!
