James; We will be going to the holiday inn in Montego Bay at the end of this month. I have talked to a couple of people that have been there and they said it was fabulous!! I will post another message when we return with more info.

My husband and I just came back from a two week vacation to Montego Bay. We spent two nights at the Holiday Inn then demanded the hotel relocate us. It is infested with silverfish and cockroaches. The night-time security guard brought in his pals at 3 am and played a loud game of dominoes. The manager couldn't have cared less when we complained the following morning. Be cautious of where you think is safe to stay. You may regret your choice. Also watch out for the harassing street-vendors. Don't go out after dark if you plan on not being robbed.

My wife and I are heading down to the Holiday Inn
in February. How bad where the bugs, where did you
find them? In your room? The restaurant?
What travel company did you travel with?

A word of caution. Maybe things have changed but my wife and I stayed at the Richmond Hill Inn in Montego Bay for our honeymoom in 1973. The manager was a crook, literally. While waiting for the taxi to arrive in 20 minutes to take us to catch our plane back, I mistakenly mentioned I had $34.00 left in my wallet, to another vacationer there. The manager called me into his office and said for maid's fees, etc., there is a departure tax from the hotel of $34.00!!! he also just ripped off a Japanese man and his wife for $27.00 "departure hotel tax", while he was waiting for a taxi to transport them to the airport. Hopefully, managers like him are gone. Lots of offers to buy drugs while walking around in town as well. Still, we had fun before the unannounced "departure tax" episode. Tip: get all fees up front.
