Would you recommend a windjammer cruise?

Yes!! I have been on two trips with the company and loved both. I travel alone and found every aspect of the trips enjoyable. Several things to remember are do you have a problem with small places, or any fear of water? The reason I ask is that some of the companion ways are tight and the cabins are small. Also when going from the ship to shore you have to get into small boats. Than means going down the stairs and onto a small boat. Both are moving and it can be tricky. I highly suggest the Polynesia. The crew keps the cabins very clean, food was good, ports outstanding and a general air of good fun. At each stop there are several side trips to choose from. I have booked the bachlorette cabin which sleeps six, and if traveling alone they will also pair you with someone if you want a two person cabin. I think that you get alot for your money. If you would like further information e-mail me.

Check out the very active Windjammer Bulletin board at www.windjammer.com - lots of info and lots of repeat passengers who do a lot of posting.

Jammin' is the only way to go. I would recommend any of the ships except maybe the Amazing Grace. It's the supply ship and doesn't have the sails and it seems to cater to a much older crowd. On the other ships the ages vary, but the Grace seems like they are an older bunch.

The Flying Cloud in the British Virgin Islands was the most relaxing, fun vacation my wife and I have ever taken. I think any of their ships would be great. Andy

Winjammer was terrific! Have been twice on the Flying Cloud and loved it. The last night out, The Captain's Dinner requests that a clean tee shirt be worn - that's their idea of formal!! The entire week consists of wearing shorts/bathing suit and a pullover/tee. My son loved it enough to book their honey moon on one of the other jammers (forgot the name). There is one larger room per ship for honeymooners - book early! Each day, there are activities that will take you off the ship. My advice is to spend one afternoon on the ship with a good book; you'll have the ship to yourself.
Consider getting their early for stowaway night. If you go to Tortolla to pick up the Cloud, TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLANT!!!

Enjoy!!
