jacketwatch, the Out Islands of the Bahamas are one of the most gorgeous places I've ever been. I spend two weeks on a sailboat exploring them and we based ourselves out of Green Turtle Cay.

Fun local nightlife. The Red Roosters or whatever the name of the band is.

You can find uninhabited islands. Sand bars sticking up out of the most gorgeous water you've ever seen.

Don't do the Out Islands without a boat.

The Bahamas are so different....I love Harbour Island and hate Nassau, so depending on WHERE in the Bahamas you want to go.....

Out Islands are completely different from Paradise, Freeport, Nassau.

I love the Exumas, Hoarbour Island, Eleuthera,. I've been to most of the cays around Abacos too. they are all different from each other, all have gorgeous beaches, all are laid back and seem ehat the Caribbean used to be. Some are upscale and chic (harbour Island) some have stunning cays with gorgeous beaches, (Exumas) some are long and you can always find a beach to yourself, (Great Abaco, Eleuthera.) Some have gorgeous resorts, (HI, Exumas) some are more laid back and quiet, (Abacos, Eleuthera.) Some you want to sail (Abacos) some you want to drive (Eleuthera).

They are called the Gully Roosters. Haven't seen them perform on GTC but have seen them at OceanFest in Ft. Lauderdale and they are great and a lot of fun!!!
