Which Resort on Anguilla?
I have read so many different opinions of the overall best resort on Anguilla. Deciding among Cap Juluca, Cuisinart and Malli. Traveling with my husband and two daughters aged 18 and 20 over next year's x-mas holiday. Any thoughts on these or others on Anguilla? Thanks!

They are all first class, located on beautiful beaches, with great service, and, especially at Christmas, very expensive.

Those are 3 of the top resorts on Anguilla and they each have their share of supporters and repeat guests so you'd be hard pressed to say one is better than the other. The main difference is Malliouhana is on a bluff overlooking the Caribbean (you have to walk down a long set of steps to reach the beach) while Cap Juluca and Cuisinart are at beach level - FYI - the beach at Cuisinart is sometimes a bit breezier than the others. That aside, it's really a matter of personal taste. These resorts are always fully booked (way in advance) for the Christmas/New Year's holidays so unless you are prepared to act real soon you may find not all three choices will be open to you.

I've stayed at all three resorts with teenagers and they were happy with all of them, so you can't go wrong. If pressed to name a favorite, I'd say Malliouhana because of the beach setup with the Bistro and pool. However, one of the guests we brought commented that she loved the pampering at Cap Juluca. At Cuisinart the girls were interested in the cooking classes. But check into the reservation policies for the holidays. At Cap, they will not take your reservation until last year's guests have had a chance to rebook. Not sure about the policies at the other two. Check minimum stays at that time to be sure they fit your plans.

I would stay at Malliouhana if I had to do it all over again. It's newer and looks nicer. The only worry I would have is that big pirate ship on the grounds which my attract more little kids. Cap tends to cater to honeymooners and I was quite tired telling people that I was 'just on vacation' as we are in our 40s. The rooms are dated at Cap IMHO. Housecleaning staff was not that attentive. Not all rooms are the same and priority is given to repeat customers. For example, my "jacuzzi junior suite" just had a big soaking tub for two. Cap does have a beautiful beach though which was the saving grace for our trip.
