Which island to try?

I spent a week on Grand Cayman in August and loved it. Island was beautiful and the diving was great! I want to take another trip to the Caribbean and do some diving, but want to try an island where food and beverage prices are lower than in Caymans. Any suggestions?

Try looking into Bonaire. Should be cheaper. Although we were there 3 years ago and Grand Cayman a few years before that. The diving is great though and it's an interesting little island.

Bonaire is a great dive location, but not really what I would call cheap when it comes to daily living. In my opinion, the restaurants are definitely overpriced... However, I would still highly recommend Bonaire if you love to dive and want a very quiet, safe and peaceful vacation.

Cozumel

Try Dominica, Saba or Bonaire. The first two, especially, are far cheaper than Caymans and great diving locations.

I totally second Cozumel! A diver's dream, with good and reasonably priced food, drinks and accommodations.

Ambergris Caye, Belize. Second longest barrier reef in the world, dive the world famous Blue Hole, and third world prices. No joke...check out this website

http://www.ambergriscaye.com/
