Which island out of the hurricane belt

I'm planning a vacation for next October. I want to stay 4 nites) I want to stay at an all inclusive and not spend too much money. Playa del carmen looked reasonable $1,500 for two people including airfare but its during hurricane season. Is there any other warm island out of the hurriance belt for such a reasonable price.

Aruba is out of the hurricane belt, and you can find reasonable prices at many of the "low rise" resorts like the Bucuti or the Manchebo. But, I wouldn't recommend going all-inclusive in Aruba. (This topic was discussed at length on this board about a week ago.) Also, I think that airfare may run a little higher to Aruba than it would to Playa del Carmen.

All Caribbean islands have a history of hurricane exposure at least every 20 years (on average). This includes Aruba. But Aruba is lowest on the list.

Along with Aruba, Curacao is another safe bet.
