which island for day trip from St. Martin
 

We will be in St. Martin for a week and have time to fly over for a long day to another island. We are mainly interested in hiking/ecology, beautiful scenery or history. Not much on shopping or partying. Which island, other than Anguilla, which we already plan to visit, would you fly to?

For hiking and beautiful scenery, you couldn't do better than Saba, which is the polar opposite of Anguilla. Those two islands would be a very nice complement for each other as well as for your St. Martin trip in general.

Here's another vote for Saba - don't think twice - it has exactly what you are seeking.

Here is another vote for Saba, especially considering what you are seeking for a day trip. I visit often and was just there again this past weekend. I am still always enchanted by this charming island.
