Which island? Anguilla or Jumby Bay
We went to Jumby Bay in 2005 and loved it. Haven't been back since the renovation. Have been spending most of our Caribbean time at Biras Creek, but our last 2 experiences have not been good, so we are looking for another place for our anniversary in December.
We loved doing nothing at Jumby Bay as we had both been through an extensive stressful period. Jumby was perfect and we just read, eat & sailed using their Hobie Cats.
From everything I've read lately, I've been really intrigued with Anguilla. The food sounds wonderful and it would be interesting to explore the different beaches. However, I'm not sure if I can get my head around having a car & driving to meals. I know it's possible to make do without a car, but from what I've read, sounds like you need one to see the different beaches.
The last 3 trips we've made to Biras (in January & February), the winds were out of control and prevented us from sailing except for maybe 1 day. We couldn't even sit on the beach without blowing away! I remember the one time at Jumby Bay, the wind was minimal.
So, what should be do??? Please give us advice.

Having been to all 3, Anguilla is my favorite! Beaches are stunning. But I do think you need a car or you'll be missing out.
It is easy to drive, flat island, not hilly like Virgins. Makes it easier. Restaurants are some of the best in Caribbean.
Anguilla would be my choice.

Anguilla definitely. Fantastic beaches and though a lot more developed that 10 years ago it hasn't been ruined by development like neighbor St Martin. But indeed flat so no mountain views and the mystery they impart. You need a car but its a small island. Easy to navigate. Enjoy!!

Not been to Jumby Bay but been to Virgin Gorda twice and Anguilla twice. Love the beaches on Anguilla and yes you would need a car. As mentioned already driving is not a big deal as Anguilla is a flat island.
