which island?!

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are planning our first vacation in nearly 6 years. We'd like to visit the Caribbean sometime between Nov. and Feb. 12/13, while avoiding Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving. We're just not sure which island is best for us.

Here's what we like/don't like:

-A more "affordable" island
-Shopping is NOT important to us
-We would like the whole white sand beach experience
-We're not super into the all-inclusive hotel, but like it when a concierage could plan events for us.
-We don't like to relax during our vacation and prefer being out and about and exploring local towns
-We like adventure activities like ziplining, snorkling, crusing, etc.
-We don't scuba dive.
-We don't like to prepare our own meals.
-We like smaller inns and hotels, but would try larger hotels if need be.
-We don't want to feel like we are guarding all of our beach items all the time.
-We want to visit an island that's relatively easy to get to.

Thanks for any advice!
