Where to take daughter for birthday in March
I'm taking my daughter who is turning 30 on a 5 day 4 night trip for her birthday next March. She's taken a few Caribbean cruises and would like to go somewhere new. We are possibly looking at an all-inclusive resort. We'd like a nice beach with maybe a few activities such as kayaking, snorkeling or ziplining. We are thinking of Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic or Costa Rica. Any suggestions?

No zip-lining, but possibly the World's most beautiful beaches, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, SNUBA, etc., along with a terrific selection of hotels, resorts, and villa rentals.

Vultures meant to say Turks and Caicos, since you did mention a couple of other islands. And to further add,
Short flights, so actually take advantage of travel days. Not many AIs though, only 3. Beaches, very family friendly, veranda which is like a four seasons but AI, and Club Med, which is, a Club Med. Costa Rica for zip line, adventures, but beaches are just okay. Pretty far for only 4 nights, you'll basically have 2 full days there. DR, great for AI, although the food is terrible, pretty beaches, but most stay at the resorts. |
iPad auto correct, sorry! Vultures needs to read Valturks!
One time it autocorrected Somerset to Domesday! Definitely the wrong feeling for such a gorgeous resort. Any way, what's your budget? |
I haven't figured a budget. I don't travel first class, probably somewhere in the middle of the road. I might look into Turks & Caicos first. It might depend on how long it takes to travel there since I live in the midwest. I would prefer an all inclusive or at least breakfast included. thanks

I've narrowed it down to resorts on Punta Cana in the Dominican for 5 nights at an all-inclusive resort. We are going mid-March. I'm hoping there will be enough to do because I don't want to lay on a beach for 5 days. Any thoughts?

March is high season as well as Spring/Easter break time. Family AI resorts will full of kids.
I would suggest Aruba. Tons of restuarants and bars that are easy to get to within walking distance. Public transportation is excellant there. More things to see and do than the DR, and much easier to get around. Look at the Radisson. They sometimes offers food/drink credits for "X" amount of days. |
