where to stay in turks and caicos

Going to turks and caicos in April.. have never been and I am not sure where we should stay. We are booked at Regent Palms..looks good, reviews are good but not sure. Has anyone stayed there and is it as great as the reviews say?? We want upscale, beautiful 5 star..Thanks!

We stayed there 2 years ago. Click on my screen name for a review. We LOVED it. LOVED IT. and we are spoiled. have stayed in many great places- four seasons and Ritz carltons. Our one bedroom suite at the RP was STUNNING. The pool is gorgeous. The restaurants wonderful. Staff so helpful. My only negative was the beach chairs- they have canopies, where i prefer umbrellas, but really a small point. If you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer whai I can.

Thanks emcash! We too have been spoiled by staying at Ritz and Four Seasons properties. I just didn't want to get there and not have it be a great vacation. So many hotels, scary to pick one without knowing anyone who has enjoyed their stay..Your trip review was a huge help too..Thanks!

Regent Palms or The Somerset would be my top choices.
Both are beautiful with amazing suites.
The first time I walked on to The Somerset property I was nearly speachless....and that is very hard to do.
Both are very upscale and right next door to one another so you can stay at one and dine at the other.
Regent palms has a very nice spa too.
