Where to stay in Rincon?

My husband and I are planning a 4 day trip to Puerto Rico in February. We've never stayed in San Juan, once we were on the southern coast, and once on the northeast tip.

This time, I was thinking of staying in Rincon. Any recommendations for accommodations? I'd like to be on the beach, but don't want anyplace too noisy (late night bar noise, for instance). A place with a kitchen would be a plus.

Where have you stayed that you liked?

Thanks very much,
Alice

Just to follow up for anyone interested - we booked at the Pineapple Inn. It looks nice, gets glowing reviews on Trip Advisor (which I always take with a grain of salt), and is on the Caribbean part of the beach, good for swimming.

When we return, I'll let you know how it worked out.

As promised, I said I'd report back when we got back from Puerto Rico. The Pineapple Inn was a great choice - only steps from the beach (although not a great swimming beach, but a GREAT place to watch the sunset).

The owners bend over backwards to be helpful, the grounds are nice, lovely pool. Our room was a little small, but we weren't in it too much, and it was very clean and nice.

We really enjoyed Rincon. Our previous PR trips have been to Guanica and Fajardo.

Can you recommend any restaurants or things to see and do? We will be in Rincon with our (almost) 18 year old son in April for a few days (satying at Villa Cofressi).

Just returned from PR on 3/6.

>The English Rose for breakfast - great view and marvelous food.
>Sandy Beach - Casa Islena has a nice menu of reasonably priced Tapas and it is right on the beach. Beside the Beach has a veranda on the beach and a nice looking menu (we only had drinks there). Bungers has very good burgers.
>We were told that Cofesi has a wonderful restaurant, but we did not get there.

We took a day trip to Boqueron, about 35 miles south, where we found one of the nicest beaches anywhere - Small waves, easy access and just plain beautiful. As for your son, there are opportunities to snorkel and surf (Domes beach area), but it is generally a pretty laid back area.
