Where to stay in Barbados
I'm planning a vacation to Barbados in May and need help deciding where to stay. I'm a 34 year old single woman traveling alone and I've never been to the Caribbean. I definitely want to be located in an area where there are plenty of nightclubs/lounges to enjoy some dancing and drinks, but I also want to stay at a resort on the beach where I can relax and get a great tan. Close to shopping and great dining is a must. I prefer not to be around a lot of children. I'd like to meet other singles to mingle with. I appreciate any tips.

I'd like to add, if there are better islands for what I'm looking for then I welcome your recommendations. I just do not want to go to Mexico or any South American country; I'd really like to stick to Barbados, T&C, Jamaica, Bahamas....Thanks

If you really like the idea of Barbados, based on your description I would recommend looking for hotels on the beach on the South Coast of the island near to St. Lawrence Gap. St. Lawrence Gap is lined with various types of bars , restaurants and clubs sprinkled in between.
Perhaps checkout Southern Palms hotel which is on a nice beach with a variety of water activities at your finger tips , Rostrevor Hotel which is beachside and in the heart of St. Lawrence Gap, its a casual hotel with a reputation for great its service. Southern Palms hotel is at the tip of the Gap as it is sometimes called for short. Happy travels |
