where to stay?
 

my husband and i (both 30) are considering a trip to puerto rico on thanksgiving weekend. Basically just want to relax on the beach, get some sun, drink fruity drinks, relax, read, and maybe go out to some restaraunts, bars in the evening.

any reccomendations?

PR is a big island with hundreds of nice hotels and resorts? Do you have a budget in mind? Do you want to stay close to San Juan or do you want to be "away" from it all?

looking to stay w/in $1500 for hotel + flight from nyc/nj.

would really like to be further away from new san juan.

would like a resort that has a great beach.. and within walking distance of good restaraunts / shops / bars.

i really liked hotel secreto, but they have no availability for thanksgiving weekend..

Keeping in mind that once you get away from San Juan your options for "walk to" shopping and restaurants becomes limited. Check out the Rincon Beach Resort, the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort, the Wyndham El Conquistador and the Villa Montana Beach Resort. Sorry, not familiar with Hotel Secreto.

what about in the old san juan area?
