Where to rent a car in Aruba?
 

My family and I will be on a cruise ship. We will stop by Aruba for one day (from 8 am til midnight). Are there any car rentals within walking distance from the pier?

Most the car rental places are located at the airport. I don't think there are any rental places near the pier. You will be in Oranjestad. You could take a cab to the airport, at 8:00 a.m. it will only take 10 minutes to get to the airport, and pick up a car, or email the rental companies and see if they will meet you at the pier with the car. Cars are very cheap and plentiful in Aruba, so I don't think you will have any problem.

Thank you, Shirleyk. How are the roads and driving condition in Aruba. I am traveling with a 15 mon. old. Any advice?

The roads in Aruba are great. When you pick up your rental car, get a Road Map. The main roads are well marked and clearly shown on the map.

The morning you are scheduled to arrive in Aruba, go out on the promenade deck on the right side of the ship (looking at the ship, that it)and look at the beautiful beaches of Aruba as you approach the pier. You will pass by miles and miles of white sandy beaches. When we are in Aruba, we get up early in the morning and go out to the beach and sit with our morning coffee and watch the cruise ships come in.
