Where to go on honeymoon in October?

I'm trying to decide on the best place to go on honeymoon.
I've looked at Barbados and The Bahamas but am not sure. I really don't want to just lounge on the beach all day and would like to do stuff too. Any ideas?
October is hurricane season in the Caribbean.

As a travel agent, I would agree with Jennifer. October is often the worst of the hurricane months. I would recommend Aruba since it is outside of the hurricane belt. Keep in mind it is very arid and desert-like, so don't be expecting lush tropical foliage. They do have gambling, though! Good luck!
hard to go to the Caribbean in the summer and fall and avoid Hurricane Season (June through November). The further south you go the less likely but no place is immune from the tropical waves and storms that peak in late September. Barbados has a plethora of things to do other than lying on the beach and has some very nice choices of places for a special honeymoon. It is more conservative than ARuba due to the British influence and the islanders are delightful hosts. Aruba is considered safe for the most part from the bad weather but it happens. It doesn't have an island attitude or atmosphere with the high rises and commercialism but depends what you like. You buy trip insurance and watch the weather with a alternate plan in mind if something pops no matter where you decide!
