Where to go?

My husband and I would like to go to the Caribbean over Xmas. We would like to stay at an all inculsive adult resort. We feel a regular resort will have a lot of kids over the holiday. (I love kids but they don't lend to romance). When traveling we normally stay in Hiltons and Marriotts. We would like to stay in this class of hotel. Any suggestions?

hello
have you consider chartering a boat in the Caribbean.
Visit the beautiful Virgin Islands, St Maarten, St Barts and other Caribbean islands onboard a fully crewed motor or sailing boat.
You will be able to visit many island and be in a new location everyday if you like.
The yachts range from very affordable to super mega luxury. You can choose between sailing boats, catamarans and motor yachts.
you can find more info at
www.worldwideboat.com
they are specialized in the Caribbean but also Bahamas, Greece, Turkey.

have a great vacation!

hi puppeteer, all the sandals on jamaica are adult ai. also couples swept away. swept away is the only recommendation i can offer. i stay in villas on vacation, but 2 couples who are good friends of mine have been and both liked it very much with one couple returning annually.
also the following maya riviera resorts: royal hideaway playacar, secrets capri cancun, le blanc spa resort, sun palace, adventura spa palace.
the sandals regency and grande st. lucian on st. lucia. also ladera and anse chanstenet while not adults only will be unlikely to have many kids around.
on antigua sandals grande and galley bay.

and here's a list with some of above and more: http://www.resortvacationstogo.com/S...y_Resorts.html

two things - many resorts will only book a one or 2 week stay during xmas. and if you mean this xmas i'd look hard asap and book immediately, you'll find many places already sold out.

sunshine, as i see that this is your first post here on fodor i would like to mention that we normally try to give an answer that more closely pertains to the question.

Also look at this thread. It's basically the same questions as yours.
