where to go

Would love to book a trip but cannot make decision on where to go. Would love a smaller resort with beautiful beach, nice pool, not super crowded with tourists and decent food.We loved Turks and Caicos, visited there about 6 years ago, afraid it may have become too touristy, looking for something special that won't break the bank, any suggestions would be appreciated, thought of cruising, but hate the idea of all the crowds, and the smaller more private cruise ships seem very expensive.

Dont go to Aruba..if your on a budget.

Look into St John USVI's..it only has 3 resorts..but alot of villas that you can rent. The snorkeling ( if you like it) is supposed to be great there also.
I am going in June so I will give a trip report.

You mentioned you would like to avoid a lot of crowds, but did not say when you were thinking of going. That could play a very big factor with crowds and occupancy. We just got back from T&C in November, and while my guess is that it is more "discovered" then when you were there, we did not find it to be overly tourist-y. And the price was generally reasonable.
