Where to go

My husband and I honeymooned in St. John last December and had a wonderful time. We are currently planning our trip for our year anniversary and are looking for another great island in the Carribean. We loved St. John and are looking for an island similar in size, not overly crowded with tourist. We enjoyed renting a jeep for a week and snorkeling at the different beaches but would also like to stay at a semi-large resort. Can anyone recommend another island in the Caribbean which may match our criteria?

Thanks

Your goals are a bit contradictory.
You want a small island with few tourists but a large resort, and great snorkelling.
That eliminates most Caribbean islands right there.
You might still enjoy Little Dix Bay, Peter Island, Anguilla, Eleuthera or Nevis. None of them combine everything you want in the same way as St. John, but each of them have several of your criteria.

Well, both are larger islands but very very beautiful...Grand Cayman and Grenada. You get awesome water and a few really nice resorts but you'll have to pay a bit.

I have been to Grand Cayman and have been told it is similar to StJ. I would stay at the Westin, bigger resort can be crowded but you can move away from the resort, other places on the island to snorkel and visit.

Try Anse Chastanette(I might not have the correct spelling) in St.Lucia. The island is very beautiful, with troplical rain forrest, locals are very friendly, resort is isolated, very romantic and has great snorkeling !
