Where to dine and go to casual bars near the Puerto Rico Marriott Stellaris
Heading down to San Juan on 4/26 for the weekend and was wondering if anyone has a good restaurant recommendation. Nothing fancy or formal is necessary, just good food, preferably local fare and casual. We will probably be in Old San Juan one of the afternooons to sight see, so any recommendations in that area for lunch or dinner would be appreciated, as well.
Also wondering about casual places you would recommend to drink after a good dinner, either in Old San Juan or near to the Marriott. Some music would be nice, but not required. Possibly some place with an island kind of theme.
Thanks in advance!

Here are a few ideas:
in the Condado area:
Ropa Veija Grill - Cuban / Puerto Rican
Ajilli Mojilli - Puerto Rican
Miro's for seafood
Old San Juan
tapas bar in El Convento is supposed to be good
Amadeus is supposed to be good
Tantra's is good if you like Indian food

Just returned today from Old San Juan. Amadeus is closed sadly as we had looked forward to going there. The Parrot Club was very good as was El Toro Salao and Cafe Puerto Rico. We enjoyed some great desserts at Baru. Raices is great for a lunch if you are looking for some very good Mofongo. Tantra is unique and has a belly dancer in the evening. They specialize in martini's which are a bit pricey. The Dragon Fly and El Dente have a nice bar with good drinks. We really liked La Mallorca for breakfast. You can't beat the fresh squeezed ornage juice and yummy scrambled eggs ,flat bread toast and bacon. If you get to Isla Verde the Water Beach club is an interesting place for drinks up on the open air rooftop bar overlooking the ocean after dark.

If you don't mind a gay bar, check out the bar at Atlantic Beach Hotel. Really great beachside atmosphere.
