Where should we try next?

My husband and I are planning a romantic trip the last week in October. Over the past few years we've been to the Hilton in Barbados and Galley Bay in Antigua and loved both. Any suggestions for where to try next? We'd like to stay on the beach, witha access to good restaurants though an active nightlife is not important. We are primarily in search of r&r though a few things to do would be nice. I'm a big fan of shade so a beach with a few trees or an ample supply of umbrellas is a huge bonus. Any suggestions? I'm toying with Nevis, Virgin Gorda, Grand Caymans, and Aruba but could use some guidance.

We totally love the Hilton in Barbados and have been there twice.

I would definitely recommend the FS in Nevis! For one thing, our room was huge! It also had a lovely view. The staff are very friendly. We had a nice stay, that was made even better by the personal attention given.

Dinners on Nevis are pleasant. There are many wonderful restaurants to try.

It sounds great but I think I am going to have to take Nevis off the list. I recently moved to the DC area and it looks like it will take too long to get there. Any other recommendations?

i was thinking virgin gorda sounds like the kind of island you're describing, flights to beef island or st. thomas from dc are doable. check out little dix, bitter end yacht club and biras creek is very well reviewed.
you might look at caneel bay on st. john. caneel has 7 beaches of it's own the island has another 20+. not much night life. most beaches have trees. it's very nice. outstanding snorkeling.
or the ritz on st. thomas might suit you very well. gorgeous beach. nice infinity pool. great view. good service.
or the beaches south of cancun. someplace like royal hideaway or maroma beach resort.

Look at The Somerset on Turks and Caicos. We stayed next door earlier this year-bad experience. We wished we had stayed at The Somerset. beautiful property, ate at O'Soleil on site , excellent and many great dining spots on the island...
