Where is the clearest water and whitest beach in the Caribbean
Hi!!! I am in my late 20's in law school and need a break!!!! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip in early March somewhere in the Caribbean at an all-inclusive (something I have also never done). I have traveled all over the world -- but have never gone somewhere just to relax. I have also never seen a "postcard perfect" beach -- which is what I am looking for. I have been looking around and Grenada seems like a choice. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!

Negril, Jamica fits all the criteria you asked for.
A postcard perfect beach, with white sands, super clear, calm water, so shallow you can walk out at least 50 yards. Also, the backdrop is very lush, since no building is allowed to be any higher than a palm tree (2 stories high), unlike Cancun and Aruba's Palm Beach. Additionally, there are several all-inclusives to chose from.
Other great beaches with all-inclusives are:
Grenada: Grand Anse
Aruba: Palm, Eagle Beaches
Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
Punta Cana, Dominican Rep

While all the above beaches mentioned are gorgeous in there own rights, the question is which has the clearest water and whitest sand.
The islands that are flat, dry and scrubby while give you the clearest water and whitest sand consistently. The hilly islands give great scenery and gorgeous beaches, but not the blinding white sand neon turqiouse waters.
My choices for clearest water and whitest sands in no perticular order:
Anguilla
Turks and Caicos
Out Islands in Bahamas, especially Eleuthera and Exumas.
Anegada (BVI)

Check Beaches Resort, Turks & Caicos, pristine beach, good food, crystal clear water. Been there 3 times and loved it. They have 6 differet restaurants, several pools, the only draw back in my opinoin is the resort is kid friendly so there were quite a few kids there.Even the diving is included, if you're not certified they will teach you.

<b>Turks & Caicos is the best I've ever seen! And the beach is VERY important to us as well as snorkeling.... TCI defintely has gorgeous beaches with the calmest of waters! If you want All-Inclusive... you might want to try Club Med... Below is a link to our pictures from last year to Turks...

1.) Grace Bay - Turks and Caicos
2.) 7 Mile Beach - Grand Cayman
In that order, but you won't find good AI resorts there.
With AI hotels, try Aruba, St. Thomas, Nassau, Bahamas, Negril Jamaica, Playa del Carmen, MX and Antigua.

I have to agree that Grace Bay in T and C is a fabulous beach. It truly was "postcard perfect". I don't know very much about all inclusive resorts there because we stayed at The Sands. I personally would not go the Beaches resort there because when we walked down the beach it was the only resort that had wall to wall people on the beach. It was just too crowded for our taste.

Anguilla and Turks and Caicos!!! Both of these islands are relatively quiet places though. Nightlife is limited to nice restaurants so if that is what you are looking for one of these would be great.

Understanding how a volcanic island affects water clarity, is it possible to have good _shore snorkeling_ - - and a postcard beach? I may be spoiled, having already been to St John (snorkeling) and St Thomas (SCUBA). I thought Belize was just the ticket, but understanding the sea grass/lack of beach might make spontaneous snorkeling much less appealing than I thought. Anse Chastanet looks awfully good to me - - are there better combo postcard beach sites with good shore snorkeling?
