Where in the Caribbean are you planning on visiting in 2008?

puckett, I'm going to model my year after you. Our trip in Oct/Nov will be our fourth to the Caribbean this year which seems a bit much to some people. Retired? Just wondering how you manage so many trips. My husband isn't retired, but has lots and lots of vacation days.

The only trip so far in 2008 is to Belize in January. I want to do one in May, one in the summer, and one in Fall also. Even though we celebrated our 50th anniversary early with our family this year, 2008 is the actual year. I will use it as an excuse as often as possible next year. Happy travels everyone.

We are going to Jamaica Couples Negril day after superbowl (2/4). We chose the place because we were in Jamaica in Feb 06 and loved it. We went to Dunns River Falls. This time we are going to Negril. Can't wait to get away.

Like lovethecape, we are looking forward to our visit to The Buccaneer on St. Croix. Our college-attending son and high school daughter have the same spring break so we decided we had to take advantage of that and plan a fantastic family get-away.

We are really hoping to cruise there in 2008. The cruise we want includes stops in Barbados, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, St. martin and Antigua and debarks from PR.

Headed back for our 2nd visit to St John after Thanksgiving for 10 days, and renting a very private villa for the first time. No kids, no work, a view to die for, and nobody around but my wife & I.

Well, I just learned that thanks to many of you here, I'll be returning to the Caribbean next year after all! I was the fortunate one who won a trip report contest for Grenada, so I get a 5 night free villa stay any time in 2008.

So, thanks to all of you who voted for me!

Lucky me. I already live in the Caribbean. Here's where I go when I leave St. John.

Tortola. Day trips or weekends. Rent a car and bop around.

Sailing in the BVI's. I get a boat from Conch Charters. www.conchcharters.com.

Cooper Island. We stay at the tiny tiny Cooper Island Beach Club Hotel, which is 12 rooms, nothing at all to do except go to the beach all day and read.

Hawaii. Visiting there next month for 2 weeks to see children.

St. John for the rest of the time. The most complete information about St. John is at www.stjohntravelforum.com.

And my wife just got back from Virginia and Asheville, NC.

Tomorrow, I'll just go to the beach on St. John, I guess.

When we were in Moorea, a place of bountiful beauty we met a gal who took us to her shop to browse. We struck up a conversation with her and asked where she likes to go for vacations. I mean what can top the Tahitian islands, right? I nearly fell out when she told me where SHE likes to go. LAS VEGAS!

St John Captain - you are so lucky. May I ask did you relocate to St. John from the States or are you a local?

Oh, I dread making decisions! While I would love to return to St. Kitts and Nevis for a 4th time, I think it might be time to try something new. I am thinking of returning to St. Barts or trying out Grenada. Grenada is getting some good write-ups on this board. First, I have to renew my passport!
