where in the caribbean?
 

my wife and i would like to go to the caribbean in late dec. and would like to know some ideas and why? shopping and restaurants are unimportant!

That is Holiday time and quite busy so it may be a matter of where you can get air and hotel.

Where are you flying from and how much time do you have?

I am partial to Antigu because I just returned from my honeymoon there, great spot! Although I can't comment much on restaurants on the island because we stayed at an all-inclusive. There is plenty of shopping to do in St. John's though. Great beaches too!<BR><BR>A friend of mine was married in St. Lucia last December and said it was wonderful. I personally wouldn't go to St. Lucia because they are not known for their beaches (great beach is top priority for me) but the island has a lot to see as far as volcanoes, rainforests, etc. Good luck and enjoy your vacation!

Definitely Antigua! We stay every February at a small owner-run condo development on a quiet beach. Love it!
