Where in DR?
 

I am planning to go to the DR with some friends and family in January next year. In reviewing where to go, I assume Punta Cana but I wanted to see if that is the best. We have one young child in the group but most of the others are active adults who like sun, sand activity and luxury. We are probably looking to rent a resort! Thanks for the help!

Punta Cana has best beaches plus big resorts on it, with a very few non all inclusive really luxury properties. If you are looking for something less touristic then Las Terrenas in Samana have a great set of small luxury properties with access to uncrowded beaches.

Well I liked Sosua and Puerta Plata, but I think Punta Cana is where the largest concentration of All Inclusives resorts is located.

As for Punta Cana we really like Bavaro Beach. Ideal for swimming and bathing but still it has some waves to have fun. Lots of resorts there.
