Where are the best "secluded beaches in St. Thomas/St. John?
 

Or the less crowded beaches without the cruise people.

I don't know about St Thomas, but just returned from St John and don't know that there are any secluded beaches! Trunk Bay was horrendously crowded and even the next beach down, Cinnamon, was packed the day the cruise ships were in. We went all the way to the south shores of the island to Salt Pond and out a major dirt road to Limeshur Bay and even tho they were not secluded, they were much more pleasant.<BR>Joan

Sorry, Joan. that you never got to enjoy the uncrowded beaches on St. John. <BR>Beach Bum - insofar as St. Thomas is concerned, you can check out Lindquist Beach, Sapphire, Magens Bay (when there aren't cruise ships in), Little Magens and Platform (both a bit further up the peninsula from Magens and a little hike through the bush).<BR>On St John, Jumby Bay, Lillie Maho, Hawksnest, Lameshur (which I think Joan meant when she said &quot;Limeshur&quot;.)<BR>Depending on how long you're going to be here and if you're coming for a simple vacation, take a daysail with one of the many reputable charter companies who will take you to idyllic spots on STT and STJ.<BR>Go to usvi-on-line.com for all sorts of information.<BR>
