When is a good time of year to visit Bermuda?

Thinking of visiting Bermuda this September. I know it is last minute. Is it still warm enough to swim? Got a deal on airfare. what about a beautiful place to stay? Wife likes nice service and upscale rooms.

September weather is fine and the water temp. still in the 80's. There is some risk of the effect from hurricines (usually rough seas, heavier surf), a worry you wouldn't have in May or June. See the comments in the Bermuda topics near the top of this forum for some good opinions on hotels. IMO small hotels offer more personal service. I suspect the very large Southampton Princess would offer the most luxurious rooms if that is your top concern.

Posts on Bermuda hotels in this forum referring to Stonington Beach, Cambridge Beaches, The Reefs don't mention Bermuda in thier headers. Sorry for not being more specific.

September would be a beautiful time to
visit Bermuda. We spent a week there
three weeks ago. Look into the Pink
Beach Club. It is well known--great
service (some of the people have been
with the Club since the 50s). Cambridge
Beaches is quite a long way from anywhere and since Lantana closed, getting a taxi is difficult. I posted
some other thoughts on Bermuda on another question. Enjoy the island.
It is the cleanest we have been to--the
people are very friendly and helpful.
The bus system is excellent for getting
around--think twice about the mopeds--one spill and your vacation
could be ruined. E-mail me if we have
any further questions. Lucky you!

Neil, I signed up (free) at www.travelocity.com for their fare watcher service. It told me about fare reductions to Bermuda before my travel agent knew about them. There are some better deals now for travel in September. Good luck!
