My wife and I went on a month-long honeymoon in the caribbean. The first week was the real "honeymoon" and we spent it at Cap Juluca in Anguilla. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, as well as the Junior Suite we had. Absolutely gorgeous beaches and the staff there simply can't be beat. After CJ, we went to St. Maarten (french side) for 3 days, where we took day trips to Saba and St. Barth's. After St. Maarten, we went to Tortola for another week, where we stayed at the Lambert Beach Resort (NE side of island). LBR was quaint, under renovation and we had the most "fun" here. The culture, "FOOD" and day trip to Virgin Gorda, was wonderful. After Tortola, we went down to Nevis for another week and stayed at Mont Nevis and the Four Seasons. Mont Nevis was quaint and private, whereas the Four Seasons gave us a chance to "regroup" get in a massage or two, and enjoy some fine dining. While on Nevis, we also took a day trip to St. Kitts and went on a tour of the island. Our last stop was Antigua for a week. We were a bit "pooped" by the time we got there, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. We stayed at the Allegro Pineapple Beach Resort (all-inclusive). It was "okay"; somewhat of a let down after spending time in Nevis. The overall theme we followed was to maximize our time, while seeing as many islands as we could. Anguilla by far, is the very best of the islands we visited. We went in July 2002. The other thing was that we "used" St. Maarten, Tortola and Nevis as travel "hubs"; something that you might want to consider. If you want more info on how we pulled off this trip, feel free to email me at [email protected].
