what to pack
Hi,
I'm leaving for my first trip to T&C in 2 weeks and I have no idea what to pack! Does it get chilly enough at night that I will really need light sweaters, coats, etc...? Thanks |
You are going in February and the T&C's are fairly far north so there's always a possibility that it could be cool in the evenings (average lows are in the low to mid 70's F.) so you might want to pack a light sweater or long sleeve shirt. You probably won't need a coat. FYI, I believe the lowest temperature ever recorded durin February was in the low 60's F.
Daytime temps average in the high 70's to Low 80's F. Hope this helps. |
Thanks! It does help, I'm a chronic overpacker!

Follow the old adage: Take less clothes, bring more money.
Seriously, pack light. When going to the Caribbean we never take more than we can put in one standard 22" roll-aboard and one small shoulder bag each and I always come back with at least one item I didn't wear. Hint, a few days before your trip put out all the clothes you think you'll need. Admire them and congratulate yourself on your fine sense of fashion. Then, put half of them back in the closet and pack the rest. Trust me, if it doesn't fit in the carry-on bags you don't need it. |
Life is pretty casual in T&C. You'll need a few outfits for dinner - be sure your husband has long pants for dinner at the fancier restaurants. A summer sweater should do just fine for evenings. You'll spend a lot of time at the gorgeous beaches and pools, so be sure to bring good sun block and beach cover ups. We always end up living in our bathing suits and cover ups 75% of the time we're there. Have fun.

Depending where you stay, most resorts have washers and dryers in the room-so just pack layers, mix and match!

Do you and your "husband" plan on going to dinner at the fancier restaurants on Turks or will things be more low key?
