It poored the entire first day we were in Jamaica. We just put on our suites and swam in the pool. We were going to get wet in the pool anyway so what the hell, who cared if it rained. Our resort had some indoor activities, but almost everyone was in the pool.

Don't worry about the rain. Chances are, it won't rain as much as you're fearing. And besides, periodic showers are the norm for most of the Caribbean.

One of the most dramatic things you can watch is a storm at sea. Take pictures.

Swim, either in the pool or ocean. (Assuming waves aren't too rouch.)

Talk. Reconnect with your travel partner. Try all of those umbrella drinks. Read. Get a massage. Relax. Nap with the louvers/windows open so you can hear the wind and rain. Pack a travel game to play.

Like my grandmama used to say, "Honey, only boring people get bored."

What is that song about drinking Pina Coladas in the rain?
It's not rain, it's liquid sunshine. I put on my clear plastic poncho and sit right on the beach 'cause that shower will quickly pass. But then, PR does have a bit more rain than some of the Caribbean - after all, that's how they got their rainforest!
Relax, enjoy, read, talk to your partner. Amazing what one can find to do! <.g>

I wouldn't worry too much about the forecast for showers. In all likelihood it won't be an all day event.
