What should I do in Nassau when our ship docs???
I am going on a cruise and what is there to do when we get here. Is it close to the beaches/nightlife. I am only 23, so are there thing for people my age?

Chris, it may help if we knew how long your ship was in port.

The closest beaches would be Cable Beach, right on the island of New Providence, just west of downtown or you could take a water taxi out to Paradise Island. Either way, it's not difficult.

I'm not sure about nightlife, except local bars/restaurants, but with the port being right downtown, there must be plenty of spots in the Bay street area.

Note: I've been to Nassau twice and haven't had any problem, but just make sure that you don't get into a compromising situation if you check out the nightlife. Just use common sense.

Have fun.

Pray you don't get shot or stabbed. What an aweful place.

Obviously the above poster doesn't have a clue, which is why he just uses xxx for identification.
Don't stay in downtown Nassau--you can take a bus for $.75 to Cable Beach or take the ferry ($3) to Paradise Island.
It's a great place.

To the second poster: "Awful" doesn't have an "E", but "ASSHOLE" does. Please make a note of that. Thank you.

i do not recomend the glass bottom boat ride. we did that with the disney cruise and really saw nothing total waste of money. There is an excursion where they take you to a beach for the day and includes lunch. You can also swim with the dolphins. you can usually sign up on board. As far as nightlife - huge casino in Atlantis i would be careful going anywhere else we went to a show and i thought our taxi driver was not bfinging us back to the ship but he finally did it was almost like he was having fun with us. Nassau is fun though so enjoy!

Thanks everyone
