What 's not to miss

Going to PR Jan 12, 2004. 2 days in Vieques. What should we not miss in a driving trip around the big island of Puerto Rico. Best beaches? We will have about 5-6 days. Thanks in advance..............Mary

Caves at Camuy
Rain Forest
Observatory at Arceibo
Bacaardi Plant if interested in how rum is made
As for beaches people would suggest Luquillo Beach. Everyone touts it but I think it is ovrerrated. There are lots of good beaches but none that I would consider spectacular.

Thank you, Rob. Didn't know about the Caves at Camuy. Fodor's has the BEST board and nicest people.

Hi Mary: Of all things the Plaza las Americas is the largest mall in the Carib. unless of course you have enough of them already. Agree with what Rob said. Also do see the old fort El Morro in OSJ. The views from it are not to be missed. Bon voyage, Larry.
