What part of St. Barth's best to rent villa?

Villas are available in many parts of the island. Any recommendations as to the best areas for a week villa rental? Good views desired, nice setting, not excessively remote. Willing to drive to beaches. Thanks!

We rented a villa near St. Jean beach. It was very convenient, about in the center of the island, easy to drive anywhere. b-(

Many Guests prefer Flamands. Away from the bustle of St. Jean (airport & road)
convenient, and depending on where you stay you can walk to the Island's best swimming beach there, no rocks.
look @ www.stbartsvilla.com Another area is near Grand cul de sac.
have a great trip!

St. Jean (in the right location, for us the hillside) would be, in our humble opinion, a good second choice besides Flamands or Colombier. Like the previous poster, some like the bustle of the planes flying just over the pretty beach there all day, and being able to walk to nice restaurants and shopping, too. Our jobs can be pretty stessful, so we prefer a little more quiet for our trips to this beautiful Island, but not isolated like say Vitet or Toiny, either.
