what isTobago like now?

Jump to last reply

I have been to Tobago twice.
Once in 1975, and we stayed at a fancy British golf hotel, not really my style.
My second trip was with my husband in 1984, and we spent a month there in February,.
We rented a house from a German man named Wolfgang Koneig.
The house was outside of Charlottesville, about a 1/2-1 mile walk up a path through the forest. The house was literally the last one on the island!
Our caretaker was a gentleman named Julian who lived below in the village.
There was also a complex in the village that had cabins for rent.
It was run by a woman named Pat and her husband. They were British, I think.
Does anyone have any info about that area now?
Is Tobago totally touristy since I was last there 16yrs ago?
I would love to here about it.
Thank you,
Nancy in Vermont
