What is the Real Temperature in GC??
 

I know weather forecasts can never be trusted regarding forecasts for rain in the carribbean. These forecasts show chance of rain almost everyday and there is often little or no rain. However, I always thought the temperatures listed were accurate. However, with Grand Cayman, I see weather.com with temperatures 2-3 degrees higher than wunderground.com. And, wunderground has temps only in the mid to high 70s, with a predicted 71 on one day. These temps seem low to me. Does anyone know a dependable site for temperatures in GC? Thanks.

Thanks. That looks like a better site. I still cannot believe that they are predicting a high of only 73 for Monday. Isn't that unusually low for the Caymans or for that matter anywhere in the Carribbean??

Something else to keep in mind, todays temp is 84, but feels like 91.(weather channel) Those 70's temps(will feel 80) are only for a few days and then it's back in the 80's and with humidity it will be HOT !!

It shows today's jetstream. If you note, it is presently running directly south from the high Canadian Arctic to nearly the Gulf coast. This works to literally pump cool dry arctic air a long way southward across North America.

When the jetstream moves slowly eastward (as it always does) the southern temps will climb back to normal.

GC Sandy, you make a great point about the humidity. I am not going to GC until mid-March and I am sure it will be plenty hot for me. Nevertheless, I am still surprised by a high of only 73 one day.

Right now they are experiencing the effects of the jet stream which is pushing temps low in Florida. They may get down to 70 on Tuesday morning, but will be warming up after that. Mid-February is not mid-March. Not to worry!

Temperature today was roasting... mid to high 80s.... but if a cold front comes in, probably mid 70s is as low as it might go, normally low 80s
