what is the best time to make dinner reservations for sunset?

Hi, we have booked our trip to Aruba for March 2005 and are now in the process of making reservations for restaurants.

We are interested in Madame Janette (outside table), Flying Fishbone (try for front row table), El Gaucho (is downstairs better than upstairs?), Chalet Suisse and Marandi (sunset view).
My question is what is the best time to make a reservation to enjoy the sunset? Thanks

March 2005 sunset times for
Aruba: W070,00 - N012,30
Times are GMT - Convert for local.
There's only a 2 minute spread from start to end of the month.

01 22:49
31 19:51

Hope you have a great dinner.
Steve

Canuck,
I really don't understand what you wrote. Can you explain it to me?

I just checked a website and it says that the sunset is between 6:49 - 6:51pm.

I guess I wasn't converting what you responded to Aruba's local time.

www.almanac.com will lead you to the
info you are looking for. Will give
you sunrise, sunset, etc. It is a valuable site.

Hi Petula:

Your right. I have no idea what time zone Aruba is in. So the charts I use take all times based on GMT, or Greenwich Mean Time. It's the universal time reference for all things such as the military, airlines, shipping etc.

I figured as you go to Aruba, you would know what time zone it is in.

As you noted, 6:49 to 6:51 (18:49 to 18:51) local time is the same as 22:49 to 22:51 GMT. This simply means that Aruba is 4 hours behind GMT time.

Also, the charts I use are based on the Latitude N 012 degrees, 30 minutes and Longitude W 070 degrees, 00 minutes which is Aruba.

Hope this clarifies the mud somewhat.

At El Gaucho we had a huge downstairs corner booth for just the two of us & loved it. They have great steak! You will love Madame Jeanette's too.

Steve,
Good to give times in GMT, its always a constant...never day light savings time. But confusing for some.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 10:19 PM.
