What Happened to Sam Lords Castle, Barbados?

I went to Sam Lord's Castle in Barbados for 3 different week long vacations in the late 90's and 2001. I know the facilities were getting run down at the end, but for Barbados the beach was amazing (a gorgeous cove), great grounds, decent sized rooms, and the trade winds and seclusion of the east side of the island was awesome.
Trouble is, after a couple of changes of ownership, they went broke and I haven't heard a mention in years. Does anyone have any info on this long, lost treasure?

It went bankrupt years ago. Now it's in disrepair (including grounds). It's been purchased by CLICO Holdings -- not sure what will happen to it in the future. Rumors are that it may be an area where they will build villas and condos.

Thanks. I hope it makes a comeback. It was my favorite location in Barbados.
