WHAT DO WE DO!!!
 

Okay this is my second time posting. My husband and I along with another couple will be traveling to Jamaica in July. We had our minds set on Montego Bay b/c that's where my husband visited the first time. We thought it was the party sight, now from reading I'm thinking it's Negril. Which is it? Oh yeah, I'm 23 yrs old, my husband and our friends are 24 yrs old. Help!

Thanks alot! I've heard the beach in Negril was awesome, but I also need to know about partylife and activities outside the resort. I heard Couples Negril can get pretty quiet at night.

MoBay if you're young and want a good time! This is known as the "party" Sandals. The bartenders hustle here and the drinks are great! You can rely on the staff to show you a good time. People go back to MoBay more than any other property for a reason. It's close to the airport, so you're not driving forever and there's all ages there. It really is a great hotel, they'll arrange sightseeing tours for you if you want and the entertainment is a blast. Whether you're doing a weekend escape or two weeks, it will be an adventure. So start planning and HAVE A WONDERFUL VACATION!

There is no comparison between Mo Bay & Negril. You will love NEGRIL. The only downside is the ride from the airport, although I heard it has gotten much better & shorter;(timewise)

Negril has the more accessible nightlife...live music and bars all along the beach you can wlak from one to the other, then there are the cliffs, very lively at sunset especially.<BR><BR>Negril has the most &quot;off-resort&quot; eating, drinking, partying...I can't tell you much about what the various AIs offer on the resorts.<BR><BR>The ride is now only about an hour, the road is finished.

I think Negril is probably where more party action is if that's what you're looking for. We also stayed in Montego Bay, but went to Negril for a day and enjoyed the beach scene so much more there. Also be sure to go to Rick's Cafe to see the sunset in Negril. Beautiful!

Negril, hands down!

Patty hit it on the head...MoBay doesn't have a beach scene...there are beaches that you go to - as in walk or drive to for the afternoon. The (mostly AI) resorts have their own beaches and no one else is allowed on them. <BR><BR>In Negril, except for the very northern AI end, everyone lives, eats and plays on the beach...you could take off your shoes on arrival and never put them back on until you leave, everything you need is available on the beach.<BR><BR>They are just different.

I've heard Hedonism Negril is hip and happening, and the resort looked nice enough. You don't have be a nudist or a swinger to go there, and though I have not stayed there myself, we met some folks who did who were very normal and and fun loving, and they had a fantastic time. The night life definitely seemed much more happening than where we stayed (Sandals, right next door). Good luck!
