What do people wear on St.John evenings ?

What do people wear on St.John evenings ?
I understand day time is 'super casual' as someone put it. But what about evening when going out to a restaurant in town ?
Shorts and tennis shoes ? Dress & jacket & tie ? Thanks.

I believe that they require a shirt and shoes. I wouldn't wear shorts for dinner at Asolare for instance but that's just me. Dress up for a special occasion if you wish but really, it's up to you.

A tunic worn over capri pants will suffice.

Long pants and collared shirts is about as "dressed up" as one might be! Don't think about a tie. Doubt that even Caneel has the jacket request anymore during season at Turtle Bay but you might want to check to see if that's in your plans. Many of the casual spots in Town are just that but the "other" spots find more men in kackis - long or short and polo or sport shirts.

I was unsure of what to wear to places like Asolare, so I called them (Asolare) and they told me I was fine in shorts. So I just wore a nice pair of shorts, cute sandals, and a nice top.
I saw a lot of women in cute sundresses. Basically you can wear whatever you want.

A lot of the restaurants are open-air (i.e., no A/C), so most people don't dress up, it would be too hot.
