Anybody ever been to West Virginia? I am from the UK and heard this place was as fabulous as anywhere in the Caribbean. any opinions?

Why are you writing about West Virginia on a caribbean message board? West Viginia is a state, you cannot compare it to the caribbean which consists of islands. There is nothing similar at all! I really hope that someone was trying to be funny when they told you this.

West Virginia is a beautiful state, but has nothing in common with the Caribbean. Were you even serious? The closest thing it has to the Caribbean is some awesome whitewater. West Virginia is wild, and actually wonderful, but it is no Caribbean. Whole different ballgame..

Jude,<BR>I saw this and your other post and am sorry most of these folks cant forgive you for not being perhaps as "well informed" as of course the Americans are about other countries:)))<BR>I believe someone may have given you some misinformation regarding where West Virginia is.<BR>This may not be the state you wish to choose if you are visiting the US for the first time, especially if you are looking for a "beach" style vacation. Maybe once you get some clarification regarding what exactly you heard regarding West Virginia/Caribbean you could repost with some more specifics and hopefully someone can help you out.<BR><BR>PS. Dont let the rude and arrogant responses here deter you, not all Americans are as ignorant. I would imagine many a "dumb" question has been posted on the European boards from Americans. Thankfully, you are not as rude in pointing out their misinformation.
