Wedding/Honeymoon in Aruba

Does anyone have any advice on where the best place to stay for a wedding/honeymoon in Aruba. My finance and I are planning a ceremony on the beach with 10 of our family and friends. Would also like to find an ocean front suite with great atmosphere.

Traveled to Aruba many times over the years and I feel that the best grounds are at the Hyatt, Radisson and Marriott. We especially love the grounds of the Radisson--parrots, waterfalls, very tropical. The Hyatt and the Radisson have the best location being so close to many good restaurants and water activities. You really can't go wrong with any of these hotels for a wedding/honeymoon.

Another vote for the Radisson! $55 million dollars on renovations have made this a spectacular resort.

Not to mention, they have the best beach!

Thank you everyone for the advice.
My fiance and I have decided to book the Divi Mega all inclusive. My fiance really wanted to go all inclusive.
Now that we have narrowed it down to a place, I started to research plans to have a ceremony on the beach. What would be the best time of day to have a wedding? Afterwards, we would like to take our friends and family out to dinner & drinks to celebrate. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is the Ventanas del Mar restaurant at the Tierra del Sol clubhouse. Make reservations and enjoy the fine dining outside with the greatest view of the ocean, very romantic and sunset is great. Very expensive but the best food in all of Aruba. You also get to see the California Light House as well. It has a great restaurant to at the La Trattoria El Faro Blanco over looking the ocean and a beautiful sunset. Make reservations there as well.

I hear the food is wonderful. I can't wait. Thanks for the two suggestions. Do you think either one of those places would accomodate a party of 10+ for our celebration after the ceremony?

If you type out Aruba in Lycos or Google you can get all kinds of information. Your group could go out together in a catamaran one day also--the Tranquillo or similar. You can book a lot of things online before you even leave.
The Tierra Del Sol golf course has a country club atmosphere and is very nice, my husband always plays golf there. At the lighthouse there is a great view so they would both be good choices.

They can accommondate any group. You will not be disappointed. You will also remember this celebration for a life time.

I have started to do some research online. I love the suggestion about doing a cataraman. It sounds like so much fun. I was planning on putting together some sort of itinerary of a cataraman, snorkeling, golf, jeep adventure around the island and of course a few days of beach.
Marla mentioned earlier to book things in advance. Would it be safe to book things when we get there as well? I noticed though you get some deals if you do book online.
Has anyone been on the MiDushi sailing adventure? It seems a little expensive, but looks like fun!
Also, has anyone done the Cabaret Royale Showroom at the Wyndam?

We just returned from staying at the Wyndham in December.
Just to let you know that you will be handed a lot of coupons (usually in a "Little Switzerland" shopping bag) at the airport. Between the coupons and the pamphlets are a lot of information and usually includes a Mi Dushi coupon--make sure everyone takes the bag! So you can have the option of waiting if you choose.
We made online reservations in advance at the more popular restaurants---also at Ventanas Del Mar there is a special Surf and Turf Dinner on Wednesdays which is quite reasonable.
Did not see the Havana Tropical Show at the Wyndham but we dined at Pago, Pago at the Wyndham --an upscale restaurant--decor was beautiful and there was a pianist playing--Tahitian Baked Shrimp was superb!
For a less expensive very casual dinner one night you could try the new Fishes & More Restaurant across from the Radisson Hotel--the cuisine is great and the 4 owners/chefs are from Holland. There is live music after 8:00 p.m. outside in the courtyard.
Also, the Ambassador's Special at the French Steak House (Manchebo Hotel) offers appetizer/salad/entree with a bottle of wine for $30 each. Cuisine is very good.
There's so many great places to dine--and so many activities--good luck!

Lisa,
My husband and I were married four years ago and honeymooned in Aruba (we had a wonderful time)!
We were told we could not legally wed on the island itself, so we wound up having a quick ceremony before we left. Did my travel agent give me misinformation? We wanted so badly to marry there on the beach and we were told we could not.
Have you looked into it yet? I'm so sad.. sniff sniff
