How is the weather in the end of July in Dominican Republic? <BR>Is this the time of Hurricanes?

Let me know what you hear as I'm planning on going to Club Med Punta Cana the end of July. I've heard different things and cannot seem to find an exact answer. <BR> <BR>thx

My wife and I went there in the middle of May. It rained fairly frequently, but we saw some sun every day. Also, it is HUMID. I think the temperature was only around 80 degrees, but with the humidity I was usually sweating by the time I reached the bottom of our stairwell. On teh other hand, the weather felt perfect if you spent most of the time in the water. Oh. and I would suggest setting your air conditioner fairly low so that it runs for a long time, thus getting some of the humidity out. <BR>

weather---How can anyone possibly predict from the first of june as to what the weather will be at the end of july in the D.R.? Hurricane season runs basically from around june 1 through october,peaking around the middle of Sept.It may be bad, just as it may be nice and sunny.Can anyone say how the weather will be in Atlanta on Aug. 15?
